Infected wounds

Wounds with suspected infection need clinical assessment. Dr. Cole evaluates the wound and discusses a treatment plan based on the findings and your individual circumstances.

Your care at Elite Wound Clinic

Start with an
individual evaluation.

Contact the clinic to discuss an assessment. Dr. Montana Cole reviews your wound and relevant medical history, then discusses the options that may fit your circumstances.

Your care plan is based on the evaluation. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss your concerns, understand the next steps, and ask how your progress will be followed.

Changes that deserve prompt attention

Increasing redness, warmth, swelling, pain or drainage can be signs of infection. Fever or feeling unwell makes prompt medical assessment especially important. A website cannot determine whether a wound is infected or which treatment it needs.

Tell the clinician when the changes began, whether they are spreading, and which treatments you have used. Seek urgent medical care for rapidly worsening symptoms rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
