Surgical wounds
Some surgical wounds need additional attention or take longer than expected to heal. We offer evaluation and follow-up care for wounds after a procedure.
Your care at Elite Wound Clinic
Start with an
individual evaluation.
Bring relevant surgical records to your evaluation. Dr. Montana Cole reviews your wound and relevant medical history, then discusses the options that may fit your circumstances.
Your care plan is based on the evaluation. You’ll have an opportunity to discuss your concerns, understand the next steps, and ask how your progress will be followed.

Some surgical wounds open or take longer to close than expected. Your surgeon’s instructions remain an important part of care. Increasing redness, pain, drainage or fever should be reported promptly to your surgical team or another healthcare professional.
Bring your procedure date, discharge instructions and details of any wound treatments or antibiotics. Ask how visits here can be coordinated with your surgeon, who to contact about changes, and how progress will be assessed.
Questions to bring
to your appointment.
- What may be affecting healing after my procedure?
- Which records from my surgeon would be helpful?
- How will follow-up wound care be coordinated?
Help us understand your history.
Bring a medication list, relevant medical records, recent labs or imaging, and information about the care you have already received. Include your photo ID and insurance card.
